Ok, so, today I popped to town.

I decided to go into Miss Selfridge. I managed to get through the doors without being ambushed by the, 'you are wayyyyy to old to be shopping in here' gang, aka as the staff.

Then I noticed that they stock SIZE 4 clothes!!!!

When did that happen? Surely Size 4 is NOT a healthy weight?

i think a few shops store this size!! im sure a size 4 here is the eqivelant of a size 0 in america!! shocking, its far to thin

I remember seeing a top in there last year with my sister and we both looked at each other and decided it would actually have fit my 4 year old neice!

Asda also stock Size 4 too! Its crazy! xx

My friend worked in Miss Selfridge and now Dorothy Perkins i said the same and she told me its meant to be teenage clothing as is instead of size 12-13yo they have a size 4.

yeah I was going to say I think its for young teenage girls, though that in itself is quite sad as im sure some of the styles arent really suitable for that age.

im an 8 and really cant imagine going any smaller i am not an 8 by choice i would love to be a 10 but mum and marc were saying im too small for an 8 so tried on a size 6 and there was no way they were doing up, i felt sick trying them on incase they fitted i really dont think anything smaller than an 8 is healthy but thats just my opinion x

size 4 is my dream size! am surprised they're stocking it though!

Snoopy, you are right, some of the clothes are defo not something you would want your 12/13 year old daughter wearing.

I was just so surprised!

We are watching 'stop pimping our kids' on tv now... James is getting worried about the girls, lol!

What height are you kenty? Im seriously starting to worry about you dieting. Are you making sure you are sticking to a healthy weight goal. All the pics iv seen of you recently you look like you have a lovely, very toned, slim figure. Dont be over doing it! x

I've seen size 4 in asda before too and it definitely wasn't aimed at 13-14 year kids, it was in that 21 range

my auntie is about a size 4, but she's only about 4ft 11 and eats 'normally' x

I suppose though some people, my Sil for example can not put on weight despite eating like a horse and obviously they need clothes too x

Blimey! Im an 8 and as you all know I feel way way too thin.

I can't get anywhere near most 6s, and wouldnt be able to breathe in them - so a 4 must be so small

Jesus if you're not a 6 Lisa then I think people who are a 4 must be seriously ill they're that tiny. I know some people are just petite all over and naturally slim but again I wouldn't expect them to be smaller than a 6!

I suppose it might be for short people - cos its all to do with the frame..Im average at 5'5" but imagine someone who is 5' and as slim as me, they'd have a smaller frame wouldnt they?

Im one of those that can eat what I want when I want and not put on an oz I hate it its horrible I have tried everything, I eat a pack of custard creams or a pack of midget gems every day and nada

I know a lot of Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese) women are that small but they are really petite all over so it makes sense.

I look ill if I ever get to a 10!

Laura - I can't go in Miss Selfridge anymore because I swear they deliberately play awful music to keep the oldies out.

i'm 5ft 6 so there is no way my frame will ever let me get to a size 4!

i have a healthy weight goal 8 1/2st...but i'll settle for 9 if i can't hit that(am at 9st 9 at mo)

no need to worry about me hun...tbh i'm aware i'm obsessive about it(i burn at least 1300cals a day and only eat about 1600 in total so i tend to be on negative calories) but i'm nowhere near unhealthy

everywhere seems to stock 4 and 6 now. they look like pretend clothes. when I was a teen the smallest you could get was 8, and that was considered tiny.

it is tiny but one of my friends is a size 6 and looks in proportion (she's only 5ft)

god i wish!!! No to be honest i would love to be a size 10!! I will get there one day!!!!

I wish they'd stocked size 4/6 when I was a teen, size 8 was so far to big for me it was embarrasing, untill I was 18 I had to get my clothes in childrens sizes or wear really baggy clothes (it was the 90's and I was in to grunge so that was my favored option!) I was a late developer, I didn't start my period's until I was nearly 16 so I had a childs frame, I used to shop in Tammy Girl for nice clothes, how sad is that!

On the plus side tho I got ID'd yesterday so I've obviously kept my youthfull looks, even if they were thinking I looked under 25 I'm happy with that lol!

My cousin is a size 6 as she is diddy, i doubt she could squeeze in a 4 though!
