Just put Cerys down for a nap. I heard this bang ad she has managed to climb out of her cot and landed on the floor. Cuddled up with her on the bed and she has gone sleepy, but i dont know if its something to worry about or that she is now having a snooze, she went sleepy within 5 mins of it happening

When Aimee fell off our bed (6 months), she did the same. I rang A&E and they said that they dont tell us to keep them awake anymore 'if they fell asleep at the time when they were due a sleep anyway'.

You normally only need to worry if she went sleepy and she wasnt due a sleep.

oh eck dunno id say as long as she is very close to you let her have a little nap then wake her up and see how she is when u wake her up

Caitlin fell off our bed last year and hit her head and I just cuddled up with her and she fell asleep. Wasnt until after we woke up that I realised Id been a bit daft.

She was 100% fine but, and was due a nap anyway. As long as you keep checking on her and she hasnt been sick or anything id say she is fine.

Hope she ok and doesnt have too big a bump/bruise! xxx

well phoned nhs direct just after posting this and they went through the usual. they advised me to take her to a&e to get checked. got there and it was heaving !!! after seeing the triarge nurse, she put her as priority. saw doctor who checked her obs, eyes etc etc and basically said she was ok but to keep an eye on her for 24hrs. apparently its a normal reaction to feel sleepy straight after a bang to the head (adults and chldren), its only if they become sleepy suddenly a while after or are not rousable. she is sleeping in my bed tonight so I can keep an eye on her.
