I got some purple shoes in the sale, so what would that be 2-3 weks ago I think

Anyway Izzy has hardly worn them as everytime I put them on she said her foot hurt and she couldn't put it down, so each time I thought they must be rubbing her, I put my finger inside and couldn't feel anything protruding.

Anyway yesterday she wouldn't let me come anywhere near her with the one shoe so ended up in trainers again

So I had a right good inspection of this shoe....only to find pushed right down into the toe was some tissue paper, like what they stuff the shoes with - it was stuffed so far in and so hard that with your finger you couldn't tell it was there, just felt like end of shoe, til i peered inside!

Anyway I checked the box they came in and there was a piece the same size that obviously came out of the other shoe

I am SO angry that poor Izzy has had her toes squashed so much that she didn't want to put the shoe on, and that the woman in the shop fitted them, felt it with her fingers to check the fit etc ...and Izzy left the shop wearing them so I know that the tissue hasn't got in there since! She obviously didnt test very well cos she should have felt that there was something in the bottom of the shoe! And if she felt something that she thought was toe then she should have thought they were too tight!

I think I will complain cos poor Izzy has had her toes hurt!

Poor Izzy, thats not good of Clarks at all. I do sometimes wonder what the staff in there are on.

I got Aimee a pair of boots last year and they gave me one 6F and one 6G - bloody idiots!

Well I think they get a high turn over of staff, cos I am sure I've never had the same person fit her shoes! So I wonder how much training they get if anything!

Mmm I had issues with Clarks when I lat got H some shoes. The girl who measured said he was a completely different width size from what he normally is, I ought it was weird so mentioned it to another member of staff who re measured him and guess what the first girl had measured him completely wrong, was out by about 3 width sizes. She'd put the shoes on him as well and said they were fine. I was fuming!

that's terrible I would definitely complain, i'm sure the last pair we had for Ava weren't the right size, I went back 2 weeks after getting them t get her re-measured and they were very snotty.

I have sent an email of complaint!

I have to say that i used to be happy with clarks, although the service from shop to shop and staff member to staff member is quite staggering!

But then i went to startrite and discovered that Sophs is a whole width size smaller than clarks say (am guessing because they dont sell d fitting shoes!) and the service was so much more thorough, friendly and kid friendly. Sophs also loves it because they have rocking horses for her to play with while waiting. Much much better for us. Would recommend. the only bug bear is that all the shoes are about £4 on average more expensive than clarks but the range of shoes is about a hundred times better!
