both kids are asleep! I fear this is a rare moment, which may never happen again, so I'm using it for BANDA time

Seriously, how much do newborns sleep? Noah is 3 days old now, and he spends most of his time asleep. I think this is probably normal, but with Milo I was in hospital for a week, so when he was Noah's age, he was in the nursery and I only saw him every 3 hours So I'm not really sure what's normal.

He wakes himself up for feeds, I'm bfing on demand and he never goes longer than 3 hours by himself which is a good thing, but he'll wake up, bum change, bf and chat/cuddles , then as soon as he's had enough to drink he's drifted off to sleep again. Then he'll sleep until him next feed. If I wake him up for a bum change and before feeds he'll be alert, he loves watching our faces (especially Milo's!) and looking around, but then after the feed he'll be asleep again. Like I said, probably normal, but I'm exhausted so I just wanted to check!

According to the books most of the day. Jamie slept about 3 hours in every 24 plus 10 min catnaps on us

Caitlin didnt sleep like that but I think she was just a lil madam! I remember reading in the books about newborns sleeping between feeds and not being alert for long periods and thinking - pah! Liars!!!

I think Noah sounds normal but and you should enjoy the peace! Before long Milo and Noah will be swinging for eachother, gotta love brotherly love!
