| aaaaaargh....so as many of you know we are temporarily staying at my mothers house while mr.mari finishes his degree, but i am finding as d-day gets closer i am getting more and more stressed out. in the next 3 or so months we need to find at least one full time job, find a house, move elijah from a home he is really happy and settled in (makes me feel ill thinking about it) and basically relocate....... i hate moving house at the best of times but the last time we did eli was only little and didn't notice, i feel awful uprooting him as i hated it as a child. i really want to find a long-term home but it's looking unlikely as we don't really have roots anywhere except the town we are in - having said that i don't particularly want to stay here long term... how do you find somewhere you want to live? how do we know our rental agents wont be morons? what are we going to do if we can't find jobs????????????? god i am having a proper episode!!!!!!!!!! |

| how do you find somewhere you want to live? If you have no idea yet of an area then its easier I think, just go on rental sites and see what houses you like and then check out the area - maybe write a list of essentials, like must be so close to town, must be on bus route blah blah etc, then list the importants but not essential , and stuff you can live without out - about the house and the area
how do we know our rental agents wont be morons? You don't really, same with landlords you can never be sure
what are we going to do if we can't find jobs????????????? You'd have to get your mum to 'evict' you - then the council may put you in a B&B til they find a house - its awful, but if your mum doesn't do that then you will be on the list ages as people will get priority over you. The other option is private renting and claiming HB but not many private landlords are keen on this
As for Elijah - i bet he will be fine! Little kids dont mind so long as they have parents, toys and somewhere they can play safely....wherever you are happy , he will be happy!

| Hi
Can't really add anything to what Lisa has said. Am sure Elijah will be fine as long as he has his mum and dad with him, wherever it is.
Thinking of you and am sure everything will work out fine for you all xx

| Mari Elijah wont care! I have moved my kids endless times, we have had to move 3 times in 10 months due to circumstances and to a totally different area and you would have thought they had always lived here!! They are totally settled in the house, all the kids have settled in new schools and made new friends and i have found my way about easily.
It is stressful finding a new house but its also exciting! xx |

| put any thoughts of worry about Elijah right out of your head he will be fine! We moved Tyler when he was ummm just under a year old and he didn't notice a thing, just like when we went to Jersey for 3 weeks within a couple of days he was completely settled and would have quite happily stayed there forever. At this young age they don't care about their surroundings! I think looking for new houses is exciting unless your going to be as picky as you are about boots |

| LOL Jade has a point, if boots take you this long to pick you wont be moving until Elijah is off to uni so you have nothing to worry about! Seriously though dont stress about Elijah. Kids do adapt and as long as you and daddy are there he wont give a crap. He will prob find it all very exciting! |

| aww thanks ladies, i am still freaking out a bit, but have reminded myself that there is NOTHING i can do about anything just now, so will worry about it later. i hope elijah is fine, i know what you are all saying, but he knows this is home and knows where everything is etc.....hmm maybe i am projecting my hatred of moving onto him....grow up mummy!! |
