| Finlay has never really taken to having a dream feed and now that he's going through the night (most of the time) he is only having 4 feeds a day. He will polish of 8oz in the morning (used to only have 5 but increased it since sleeping through)
Is this normal? lol
I know I can't possibly make him drink any more than he wants to (believe me Ive tried) but doesn't stop me worrying... |

| Aah i have the opposite problem but a similar question Noah still wakes up 2 to 3 times in the night for a feed at 6 months, and still want 4-5 feeds in the day, as well as having 2 meals! at Finlay's age I think Noah was sleeping through, but drinking more in the day (in terms of how many times, not sure about amount as bfing). My hv did say though if he wasn't satisified he wouldn't be sleeping through, so that was reassuring to hear. Sounds like Finlay is very satisfied, and it's good that you don't have to feed him constantly |

| I wouldn't worry. I would say if his hydrated and putting on weight then his fine. I would be surprised if he let himself go hungry
Kat I had that problem with Jamie. Are you still bf? I hate to say it but it was only when we switched him to formula for his night feeds in Oct when he was 10 months that he started to cut down |

| As long as he is getting what he needs I wouldnt worry about it.
Get his weight (in lb) and x 2.5, then you know how many oz he should be taking.
Holly is 8lb now so 8 x 2.5 = 20 oz, so I just make sure that she gets 20 oz in a 24 hour period.
She usually has it in daytime hours, but still wants a bottle at night, but if she only has 1 oz then I dont worry about it because she has had plenty already x |

| 2 weeks ago Joshua was 13lb 10oz so im guessing he at least 15lb now We have no set routine, but an ave day could go = 7oz on waking at 830am, maybe 5oz at 1130, 6oz at 230pm, 5oz at 6pm, 8oz at 9pm and 4oz at midnight? Whats that.... 35oz. Thats all guessing though, id say 30-40oz depending on his mood! 15x2.5= 37.5oz. WOW, that works out about right Laura!!! If that equation carries on im gona need shares in Aptamil lol. Dont be worrying Jade, Caitlin at 6mths before being weaned took 4/5 5oz feeds a day so 20-25oz. She just wasnt a hungry baby and was fed by clock as she didnt cry for btl. Joshua doesnt really cry either, just starts fussing and headbutting you trying to suck at everything while grunting in frustration! Caitlin mind you at 5months weighed just slightly more than Josh does now at 2mths! They all dif. x |

| I've been getting Thomas up for a dream feed at about 10.30 every night because he would probably sleep through but he's only little and I'm worried about him getting enough! I'm breastfeeding so I don't know how much he's having but if Finlay is gaining weight and quite happy with 4 feeds then I'm sure that's fine for him! xx |

| he had 5 feeds today but he's not having anywhere near his weight x 2.5 but Im not sure if that is right once they are a bit older?
he had 5, 4, 4, 6.5 6
so 25.5
I haven't had him weighed in nearly a month and he was 12lb something a month ago so should be having waaaaaay more than what he is. mind you he is getting a big round belly so must be fine lol. |

| Well if he seems quite happy and looks like he's putting on weight then I'm sure he's getting what he needs! Thomas is on 5 feeds a day too xx |
