i am determined to decorate the girls room as it looks horrid at the mo! caitlin has ripped the wall paper off the walls so want to decorate it so looks nice as i avoid showing people the room as embarrassed! i want it a light pink but i want nice all art for the wall and nice stuff for the room (not to expensive)
you ladys have fab taste so please please please can you help lil old me

I have recently done Aimees room and it works really well and will grow with her as she grows up.

I used some paint that I think was called Cookie Dough or something, but it actually very very very very light lilac/pink.

Then, rather than use wallpaper we then purchased some transfers which are all sort of heart shapes and different colours of pink, spotted, checked, etc. that just stick on her wall and then peel off without leaving a mark.

this sounds awful but what we do is when we go to b&q and homebase and places like that. we take a big 'sample' of the sticky borders and cut the shapes/pictures/paterns out and use them as stickers for the wall or window ledge or doors etc x

I love all the stuff they do in Next and M&S also dunelms have a good cheap range

Starting out with a theme in mind usually helps. I usually decorate around the bedding choices..picking out the paint and accessories to match. xxx

what we're doing when paige is a bit bigger, we'r keeping her room the pale yellow but addin pink things to it. like flowers and hearts, stickers or stencils..
ikea does these pink flower wall lights i want to get paige. so its till girly x

Lillies room was already lilac, so I got those transfer things I got hers from wilkos were about £7 for the pack which I thought was alot for stickers.

But theres loads of big and small butterflies (can get other ones) just put randonly around her room and pink curtains.
whats fab about the stickers they're not permament they peal off, so you can move them about or change when their older.
