PostSubject: Toddler Shoes   Toddler Shoes EmptySun Oct 03, 2010 10:58 pm

I went to get Aimee measured for some new shoes this morning and all of the Clarks ones looked a bit cheap.

I have always managed to get her a pair from there in the past, but the ones that will fit her (she has wide feet, so some designs dont fit) are plastic looking.

Does anybody else have any good ideas where to get toddler shoes from?

Apparently the start rite website is good.
I actually got a really great pair of shoes from Tesco. They are sooo much better than the clarks ones we've had before.

I have just ordered a pair of Chipmunks boots so I will see what they are like when they turn up.

Shell, I did look at Startrite but they are the design that she cant wear (the ones with the cut out bit as they dig into the top of her feet).

Next are good, but most are a narrow fitting.
In clarks Rosie is a G-H width, and we seem to have had the choice of 2 different pairs on our last 2 visits - a black patent pair or a brown pair. She had the brown ones this time and to be honest they aren't too bad, but they don't go with many of her clothes. I got some cheap trainers from tesco about a month ago and they were quite wide so she gets alot of wear out of them.

The Clarks range can be very limited in-store but you can look on their website and order to store - no cost or commitment, you get a text [and email I think] when they are in and they hold them in store for a few days for you and you just try & buy them as normal at the till.

Not that the toddler range on the website is that extensive, but I think there were 7 in Seb's size on the website and only 3 in store last time he needed them. I haven't bothered doing order to store for his shoes but I have done for mine, as I'm a size 9 - have received the text whilst sitting in Cafe Nero which is practically next door and rushed round to try them on.

Sorry, doesn't help with the original question.
