Grr got another cold sore. I remember from last time i had em all the way through, weird isnt it the little niggles you dont really think about but all seem to be part of the little energy sucking vampire you are growing (LOL) Eg I suffer from something called geographical toungue so i get a lot of patches where the skin comes off my tongue and somestimes its painless but sometimes it gets red and sore and the patches move. Usually when im not preg its painless unless i eat something acidic but in pregnancy i get it really bad and end up with a very ulcerated tongue. No explanation why really. What are your little niggles? Everyone knows the biggies - spd, pe eclampsia, swollen hands and feet, sore boobs etc but whats your tiny weird niggles

Oh my life Mario - my hubby has that tongue thing!! GPs useless, he's seen two since he's had it (must be about 8/10 years now!) who've never mentioned this. I've just googled it and, although there are some nasty tongue images, it very much seems to be it! Thank you for enlightening us Sorry, very off topic, but who'd've thunk it!

Not a prob jaffs, i used to think it was mouth ulcers and asked my gp in my last preg who told me what it what, its usually painless but my big ones to set it off painfully are pineapples/juice, tomatoes etc. I get more painful flare ups when pg too. Most of the time though its not bad just ugly. Noone knows what causes it though some studies think there are hormonal components which would fit with my preg flare ups and no treatment other than avoiding the triggers. I do find bonjela helps soothe it when its sore though. Ive also heard stuff for oral thrush can also soothe it though ive never tried it and usually just put up with it. Ok another weird niggle. About 10 years ago i took a bad fall during a jumping kick when kickboxing and ruptured the ligaments in my left foot and ankle. I ended up with physio on it once or twice a week for 2 months and ended up with a 90% functional ankle again eventually after months of flare ups of swelling and pain. Its been fine for 8 years now as long as i wear supports when im training. But this time round since being preg every few days i get pain right over the old injury. Really deep niggly pain, i can only assume its the whole loose ligament thing is affecting a bit of old injury that never healed, its quite irritating lol. Nothing worth getting seen to just another weird niggle to moan about, might have to dig my old support out for when i get back to work
