Ive controlled the mongrel. LOL. we had a great morning so far he was awake ten minutes before hannah at 8am woohoo. so had him out for a pee and gave him some brekkie. then hannah got up and zac was tired again so went back to sleep and hannah was fed and dressed then I was dressed and we took him a long walk which was nice. he came home and slept for 2 hours while me and hannah played in her bedroom. we had him out another walk then lunch and a mad play and hes sleeping again!! his mum did say he always has a mad two hours at night so will keep him in the cage tonight until hannah goes to bed so she doesnt get bitten. but so far all is well and oh will be home tonight to at least stay in with hannah and when he goes nuts I will take him a huge walk.
the cat even likes him today and oh says we should get a dog (he didnt see the disaster that was last night lol) so my plan is to not tidy today and say the dog made the mess to put him off Laughing

glad he calmed down a bit (a lot!)

I love dogs, so I am pleased you didnt end up hating him for being a tearaway!

lol laura. im dogsitting one of the vets I work withs puppy. hes a 14 week old irish setter. bonkers. my oh said tonight I think he has dog adhd. he also say why doesnt him mum take him to obedience classes? she does lol. he acts like hes not there in the head! laura did you ever see on the hour or newspapers about the dog that had 17 pups? hes one of the pups. her owner was raging because we scanned her and said there will probably be 6 or 7 pups in there Laughing but then young zac was really sick and in with us for a while and hasnt left the vets side since.

lisa I would never hate a dog Smile I just wouldnt have one as a pet x

So glad things are going better for you. You're doing exactly the right thing by keeping him well exercised. There are so many dogs out there that have behavioural issues purely because of lack of exercise. Irish Setters do have a tendency to be nutty as pups, but settle down after about 4 years Laughing Unlike Gordon Setters which stay mad forever!! x
