I took the girls to the baby clinic today to get Edith and Alice weighed as they haven't been done in ages. As we walked in it was absolutely packed, they have changed the clinics so they all run together with all the HV's there instead of having a clinic each SO...... we manouvered our way around all the prams parked outside and as we went to go through the door a little girl about the same age as Alice just walks over and pushes Alice to the ground, i mean literally just singles her out as she walks in and pushes her over as she lets go of my hand to walk through the door. Little shit, her parents were having their younger child weighed and were taking absolutely no notice of her or even saw her do it!!!! Alice was heartbroken cos she isnt well anyway and i was just bloody gobsmacked, i was telling the girl it was naughty to do that and still the parents took no notice. everyone looked at us and must have thought i was a right biatch but i dont care it was completely unprovoked. turned out that they didnt speak english so she probably didnt have a clue what i was saying when it was naughty. Sorry Rant over!! but its making me cross everytime i think about it!

poor little alice!!!!!! some kids are such vicious lil fekkers!!! we have one at play group that singles lewis out every week, so far he's tried to gouge his eyes out, smacked him up the head at least 10 times, pushed him over, threw a drum at his head....the kid is no more than 18months, god knows why he's so vicious(although if the black eye and burn mark he's sporting are anything to go by i'd say the bloody parents!)

Nasty lil cow. Bloody parents too My friends came over with her son the other day and our other friends son. My best mates boy sam is an angel but the other boy luca is a git. While he was there he deliberately upended c's motorbike rocker so it landed on its side and made her jump so i told him since c doesnt go throw all his toys it was a horrible thing to do and made him stand and say sorry to caelyn. Hes 6 so i think it embarrassed him but i dont want her learning that kind of behaviour

Some parents dont seem to care do they, makes you really mad when you are trying to teach your own children to share and be gentle and considerate

| Thats the thing, its just showing how to behave badly and Alice doesnt so i dont want some little shit teaching her!
she was so upset, if they had been playing and falling out over a toy then ok, kids do but it was just a horrible thing to do! |

My friend bought her 22 month old last week who kept taking the toys c was playing with and my friend wasnt stopping her just saying 'thats not nice alice is it' (another alice but not such a nice one lol). By the 3rd time i was going to step in myself when c got really mad, yelled a bunch of noises at her and grabbed it back. I actually decided NOT to tell C off for that which is prob hypocritical but was fed up by then of her bullying my daughter

I dont blame you, Alice is a soft touch most of the time but she does get annoyed sometimes. her cousin mythers her all the time and alice has started screaming at her if she gets in her personal space!

I think all kids at 18mths-3 are capable of pushing a child over, its how the parents deal (or dont more to the point) with it. I always tell Caitlin NO when she has done something wrong and tell her what she is to do/not do (not sure how much she understands so keep it simple). Im hoping that it will sink in and she will learn what is acceptable. Btw what age does naughty corner work at, 2+? Hope Alice is ok. I wonder if the child is a bit left out after new baby. (no excuse mind) and looking for attention. Hope they grow out of it soon or they wont have many friends at nursery.

the never spoke any english?? i think i mibi should keep my opinion on that to my self here... either way, by tone of voice i hope the little child at least halfway understood what she did was wrong, clearly the parents didnt give a hoot.

Snoops, i get what you mean, yeah they are all capable but like before, i might expect it to be over a toy etc, not just to walk up to a total stranger and push them over whilst grown ups are there!!!! I havent used naughty step yet cos i dont think she gets it! she doesnt seem to understand being sat on the sofa in a time out yet! but then she doesnt have time out much yet and if she paddys i ignore her anyway

See now C does understand both naughty and nice. We did time out at lunch today in the garden centre and she was overtired and melting down and throwing her dinner and shouting so i took her to the steps and sat her on one with my legs either side of her and asked her if she was ready for sleepies and she said yes and told her we would go once mummy drank her drink and would she be nice til then and she said yues so i asked her to go say sorry to oma for shouting at her and she walked back to table and gave my mum a kiss. Guess they are so individual you go by when you think they are ready. Im also develloping the thickest skin in the world cos i was being stared at while doing all this

same happened to us a few weeks back when a little boy child came and hit ava when we were out shopping, his mum didn't speak English but it didn't seem like she told him off. I hope Alice is Ok, I think it's worse for us mums than it is for them!
