My lying OH! Am I over reacting??? This morning I had a lie in . Caitlin didnt wake until after 9am and Stuart got up with her. I seriously think this has happened about twice in her life. Usually I dont like him up with her as if he's tired he may have a seizure. Anyway today as she'd slept late and he'd gone to bed at reasonable time I just pulled duvet over my head and let him get on with it... I got up at about 1130am (it was fab!) and he had just put Caitlin down for her nap. He told me she had taken hlf her btl. I asked what she had for breakfast- answer - her btl. Decided to let that go. He then told me he had changed her nappy but had the same problem as at bedtime last nite and couldnt get the poppers right between her legs (she went to bed last night with a whole between her legs as he'd missed a button, didnt see the point in him re-doing it as she was being a wriggle & having fleece suit on top anyway.) He also made a point of telling me that Caitlin had drunk some water so she would prob have peed again (I found this an odd thing to say, but thought he was just being a man). Stuart then went off for a nap at 12.... Caitlin woke up and I put her in highchair for lunch. She was still in sleepsuits from last nite. I wasnt annoyed he hadnt changed her as I can be fussy on a Sunday if we visiting people. As I lifted her out her nappy felt quite squidgy. Took her to change her - it was sopping!!! I mean so heavy, yellow coloured all up front and back, stunk of stale urine- he clearly hadnt f*cking changed her at all!!! Im so cross right now, she had been in same nappy for over 18 hrs by the time I changed her! If she gets nappy rash I will be so upset. If he had even told me he had forgot to change her I would be more forgiving but to blatantly lie and make stuff up about getting the poppers wrong again, and her drinking water.... When he wakes up Im going to have such a row! Iv a good mind to go pour water over his crotch now and ask him how he likes going for a nap soaking wet! I detest liars. Im so p*ssed off.

Hmmm. I almost believe him. He swears he changed her. He even talked me through where he put nappy/mat etc. I then acted like a psycho and tore open the nappy sack with the soppen nappy and made him hold it and look inside it. He says the only thing he can think happened was that he put the wet nappy back on and the dry one in the bin outside. I then went a bit mental detective and went out to the outside bin. To be fair there was a nappy that seemed dry and didnt smell of wee Iv apologised for calling him a F*cking liar and he has apologised for putting a wet nappy back on. I still cant understand how he managed it but im just going to try and believe him.....

Thing is. It's difficult to prove either way, sometimes it's just better to forget it. But I'd be inclined not to believe him. I think sometimes, some men (including mine) will do as little as they can get away with when it comes to kids and housework xx

xx I could have written that myself! Dan thinks we have a self cleaning house! The only time I get to do housework is when Izzy naps, but I cant do upstairs of course, so on the weekend I ask him to play with her while I do it...and EVERY weekend he objects! I say when the hell do you think this house is going to get cleaned and when should I catch up with the washing!? He NEVER just tidies up - he can be sat in the front room with toys and mugs and newspapers everywhere after the tornado AKA Isabelle has been in there....and he is oblivious to the mess he is sat in! |

Im only 80% sure I believe him. There was a dry nappy at top of bin but I also think the nappy before her bath last night was dry but we put a clean one on anyway.... he swears that one was put in kitchen bin. Not worth arguing about anyway. If he did lie he knows he was caught out and I went mad and got to put my point across. Dont sweat the small stuff and alll that
