Last week was half term, the last day of term I was not at college I was ill but I asked a 'friend' to collect any notes for me.
Anyway yesterday I was given the notes that I missed only to be told we have a 2000 word essay as well as some short answer questions that have to be completed by tomorrow morning.
It's a formal assignment so it counts towards my diploma. It wouldn't have been so much of a problem if I didn't have lectures last night and tonight! There's no way on earth I can do it!

What gets me is that no one thought it appropriate to tell me during the holidays. I'd never do that to someone else! If I thought there was something important they needed or needed to know I'd bloody well have told them!

I may have only just got to know these people since September but still I'm *$%£ off and will be keeping myself to myself for the rest of my course!

Can you ask for an extension due to your circumstances? Even just a day? I hope you get this sorted hun, nothing worse than having to rush to get assignments done because someone couldn't be arsed to tell you what you missed. Hugs xxxx

That is so mean! It would have taken 2 seconds for someone to contact you! Like Jen said is there anyway u can get an extension, it was an honest mistake, hope ou can get it sorted x

thats horrid hun, but ask for extension, as in theory the college should have written to you about any formal essays that are required, giving you same notice as your fellow students had.

I think the college is to blame too though! Dont they provide you with a schedule for each term? We were given one for every subject, it had everything that we would learn each week, when we would be given assignments and when they were due!
Also on the college website they have details of everything they ever hand out, so if you miss a lesson its all there!

omg i would have been so annoyed - is there anyway that you can get a bit longer to complete it ?

I've emailed my lecturer but haven't heard back so won't know about an extension till tomorrow now. Fingers crossed!

Lisa they don't seem to have stuck to the schedule really and the documents that are on our online thing are not all there! Unfortunatly a tool like that is only as good as the lecturers using it and my psychology lecturer has sod all on there!

I can only do my best and hope she understands!

I know where I stand with the Ladies now so hey I'll just get on with things myself!
