the corner protectors for any low tables (although Tyler ended up pulling them off) and cupboard locks... nasty getting little fingers caught in them

oh and plug covers. Tyler LOVES putting his fingers in holes so glad we got them!

Do you have a hearth? We couldnt live without our big surround fireguard. Even though our fire is just like an electric blow heater with flame effect the guard is great because it stops her from falling into corners of the stone hearth and also means we can keep a few ornaments out and they are protected from being smashed.

We have;
Corner protectors (ripped them all off)
Cupboard locks (he can now open)
plug protectors (he can now take out)
An oven door safety catch (he can now open)
Fridge/freezer catches (he has mastered the art of moving but unable to open the freezer door at the same time)
Knob guards (for your cookers ya dirrrty lot Rolling Eyes Laughing ) - ours are ontop of the cooker hob

We never bothered with them door safety things, ya know the ones so they don't catch their fingers in the doors etc as he's always been really good in that respect.
Also the blind cord things that Laura mentioned, they are a good idea. We never needed as we have really high windows.

We did have a fireguard but got rid of it now as we dont really use the fire and she is not really interested in it. We have the plug covers and that is about it i think. The safety equipment i really need is an extra set of eyes in the back of my head.....

i wish i hadn't asked now scary stuff! i didn't really want to get a fire guard, we have a marble hearth but I just cover that with cushions, problem is now she can scale up the cushions to grab the coal out of the fire to chew on, they grow up far too quickly.
