| Yep, you can use toothpaste as soon as they have teeth as long as is more than 1000ppm. They do toothpastes for 0-3 year olds, then at 3 there is one for i think 3-6 year olds which is something like 660ppm so higher concentration. But most adult toothpastes are plus 1000ppm so should be ok. Mandy xx |

| Yep exactly what Mandy said. It doesn't have to be special childrens toothpaste as long as it has the high floride content. It's especially important in area's where Floride is not added to the water x |

| We use toothpaste for Drew, a special baby one. MJ uses Milk Teeth Toothpaste and has done since she was small, she is excited about getting big teeth toothpaste this year as she is 6 in Sept. I don't know anything about fluoride levels so thank-you xxxx |

| I got told off by my dentist for using baby toothpaste on Thomas after 12 months. He said it's not as effective and quite pointless so use something normal like the basic colgate one.

| Hmmmmmm I am always in 2 minds with the toothpaste thing!
Our area apparently has fluoride already added - so in theory she shouldn't need more?
She was also on formula which has fluoride added!
A few months back her brand new little teeth started getting flecks on, and I am not 100% sure but I thought they were from too much fluoride as she seemed to be getting extra from every angle.
She doesn't have formula now , I use the Milk Teeth paste which is 1000ppm, as I am sure our toothpaste is higher than that. ...and her teeth are now back to normal!
I dont know for sure why they got flecks, but it just seemed to me that they stick fluoride in everything and no one really knows when kids get too much! |

| iv been told contradicting advice from different hvs about flouride, one saying you should use less that 1000ppm because there is already flouride in our water so too much is bad for them, then another say to use over 1000ppm so in all honesty cos i havent got a clue which one to listen to, i just use whichever x |

| My dentist said the milk teeth one is no good for my area because of our fluoride and said that a basic adult toothpaste would be better. I use the one that my HV gave me which is just a simple colgate one |

| We live in Yorkshire they don't add fluoride to the water, so we use a normal Colgate toothpaste |
