I went to the docs yesterday as I have some *whispers* issues.

Anyway I started to describe to the doctor what was wrong and I started by saying had a problems *mouths and points* downstairs. FFS sake I am 31, she was a female doctor and I assume has the same anatomy and has seen it all before, so why couldn't I say Vagina.

Please tell me I'm not the only one, what would you say to the doctor???????

LOL Im the same I dont like saying the word vagina I would probably describe my bits as "down there" to a doctor x

i say bits as well if im goignt o mention anything.. u wouldof thught i was an expert at it but i still get emabrresed x

lol, I think I'd do exactly the same

id be the same say downstairs, i get embarrassed going for a smear though and didnt have one untill i was 27 (and i know thats stupid but i was scared and embarrassed, my cousin wont go for one either and ive told her she really must)

I've never had to say it in front of a doctor, i'd find it embarassing hough

I think iv always said 'I need a smear' 'I have thrush' 'Pain near where I imagine cervix is' etc...

Id prob say down there too, although I may just come out with vagina and not realise.

I was changing Caitlins nappy while babysitting my friends 6yr old son a couple of weeks ago. Suddenly he announced loudly 'Another word for that is vagina!'. Me & SIL glanced at eachother and then he started rubbing his tummy saying he had angina

I didnt want him to feel embarrased and told him that yes that was Caitlin Vagina, and angina was to do with a sore heart. He protested that it was his tummy and he'd meant angina. I spoke to his mum after who said he had asked her what a girls bum was called and she had told him. I dont think he'd meant to say vagina out loud and had got flustered bless him

I think i would struggle to say 'vagina' too! We call the girls 'bits' a foofoo. Although Immy picked up a book from the library called Little Rabbit Foo Foo the other day. Finding it quite difficult to read that particular book, hehe! x

We call lady bits fairies - it's what my called them, but Lottie is getting into Tinkerbell at the moment and she is finding it all very confusing!! LOL
