when we went to amsterdam, we were saying(not in a bitchy way) that we suspected one of the women was pregnant, she just seemed to have put a lot of weight on her belly and was looking rather errrm..bump like. well anyhow she said dont be daft blah blah blah

anyhow got a txt this morning saying she's just got a BFP but is on the way to the hospital as she was having severe cramps and thought she was losing the baby

just got a phonecall to say she has given birth to a full term baby boy both mother and baby are well, im just so glad it didnt end up with us playing midwife a couple of days ago x

some women dont, your hcg levels peak around 9 weeks then begin to drop again and level off at some point but most people should still be able to get a positive hpt xx

I still got a BFP at 36 weeks! (I did find out i was pregnant at 6 weeks btw i just found a spare test and decided i may aswell use it )

Holy crap! Do you believe that she really didnt know? Like, if you could notice bump how could she not when she was naked?

I have so many nosey questions I want to aks lol. How old is she? Was she quite chubby? Is she with the daddy? Imagine the guy getting a phonecall saying he'd had a baby he didnt know about on Vday. You'd think you were being wound up!

Iv said on here before about getting negative tests too far on in pg. I saw it on that american show 'I didnt know I was pg'. The docs said theat some womens hormones drop too low after so many weeks and thats why some women get negatives. Dont think it applys to everybody but.

Thats a lovely story anyway . So glad it turned out ok, and sorry for asking so many nosey things x

WTF That is amazing!!! What a flipping huge shock! I'm still baffled as to how anyone can not realise they're pregnant. You could see Amelia sticking feet and butt out of my bump from 19 weeks!

i was at the hopsital the other day n a mid wife n doc were saying they had to take a lady down for a ray.. asked if she was preg. she said she wasnt sure. so they did a test n it turned out she was about 36 weeks preg!!

I think it may be partly denial.

My friend gave birth at full term and didnt know. she was smoking and drinking the day before she gave birth and sometimes I wonder if she knew deep down. she says she had a period every month and thought her putting on weight was just down to her diet. and apart from that she had no other symptoms.

but wow thats amazing. the shock of it must be so scary. I was in complete shock for about 2 days after giving birth and I found out at 6 weeks pregnant lol. now she has to rush about getting everything ready for the baby

I doubt I will ever understand how this can happen.

Was she not:
fat
uncomfortable
hormonal
windy
peeing constantly
feeling sick
dying of heartburn
being battered from the inside out
unable to sleep because she can't get comfy
aching in places you can't imagine

and any other of the delightfully normal pregnancy symptoms

just bloody unfair if she wasn't

lol, she is 25, she is a chubby yes, not sure if she's told the father yet but i dont think she's with him anymore...tbh i think her parents baby her a bit, she was born with only 1 arm(and a half) so they obvs like to look after her, but she still lives with them too,so at least if the father is on the scene she will have support
tbh i thought she seemed to be taking it easy on the booze the other day, but she is adiment she didnt know, so maybe she was in denial??
iv donated a moses basket and car set, another friend has donated a cot so things are coming together for her

andrew robert was 7lb 3oz so a decent size too xx

Awww glad she has good support from her parents and things are coming together with friends donating stuff. God bless her if she was in denial, she must have been scared about something/someones reaction. At 25 its not usual to hide a pg. I was 25 when I had Caity boo and lived with mum until she was 3/4mths, with stuart only being around part time due to epilepsy it was a godsend. Hope they help her out, though dont take over too much - hell did I know I was Caitlins mum and not my mum lol.

He was a great weight, hope they both continue to do well. Keep us updated x

aww congratulations to her my friend had a friend who gave birth 2 week ago and she didnt know either ive also known 2 people go in hospital thinking they had appendersitus (cant spell) and came out with a baby one was only young so maybe new but didnt want to addmit it (i dont really know her that well, so not sure) the other was a older lady that never wanted children really but now she has a lovely little girl think shes about 6 now. to be honest if me and oh hadnt been trying and the fact i had no af i wouldnt have noticed i was pregnant really only probs i had was that i was more tired sometimes and my iron count went down, my stomach got a bit bigger (but not my belly, has ive already got a belly)

she is staying in hospital another night, i think the hospital must be letting her as obviousley she has nothing...iv now sent the car seat though, she has also been donated a pram looks like everyones rallied round to help her xx
