ava has started having a meltdown every time i put her in the car seat or highchair, she goes really rigid and turns over and screams at the top of her voice, We went out for a meal today and she did the same so i had to sit with her on my knee. any advice?
just though this may be my last post in here before i have to move to toddler posts

awwwwww! no advice...yet again we are facing the same battle! and god help us if we take the knife/plug/sword/gun/other inappropriate thing elijah has found away from him, he screams and screams he also does this when going into his pushchair/carseat if he isn't in the mood and goes totally rigid so you sort of have to bend his legs......the only thing that helps a bit is distraction and even that doesn't work too well!
i think they are still too little to understand reasoning which is a bit of a shame cos at least then i could bribe him

well im just glad there's others that do it , she does it in her pushchair too, thrashing around to get out, all the other babies at the classes seem so well behaved in comparison, when i say 'no' she smiles and goes ha!

Well Tayla tried this, she does the whole stiff as board thing. But if you say your going in ur pushchair, stick to it and mean it. I found if you say in then give in after they put up a fight they realise that putting up a fight does actually work. I would love to stay its just a stage but ummm that would be a huge fib!
