ok well firstly... work is easier than looking after baby (although running a cardiac ward eeeek!) but you've done it before and will be fine again. the time away from Matthew will help get rid of baby brain and you'll get extra special hugs when you pick him up IO get a special mummy dance when I come home! x

Also, Claire, I hope you dont mind me mentioning, but I notice that you are a cardiac nurse, or something like that? I may well be knocking on your inbox now and again for reassurance regarding Aimee, as she was born with some heart problems. Only if you dont mind though? xx

Your more than welcome but my knowledge of childrens cardiac diseases is rather limited as it's adults I deal with. Don't let this put you off though as I can always find stuff out from the dr's when i'm back at work

Don't let this put you off though as I can always find stuff out from the dr's when i'm back at work Thank you. I think we are pretty cool with most of it... but its nice to know that somebody is on here when I am having a panic, lol! She has an interrupted aortic arch so has an artificial segment, and also had a aorto pulmonary window which is now patched up. She has a scan next Friday and her femoral pulses are quite week at the min, so we are expecting her to need some angioplasty in the next couple of months. And to BANDA x |

Oh bless her, sounds like she's had quite an adventful life so far. I have to say I hadn't heard of these things but it sonds like the heart problems have been sorted??? Angioplasties I DO know about so any info on that i can help (I know about angioplasties to the heart but it's the same procedure where ever its done)! Cheers for the welcome, still trying to find my way around and how things work! I'm not the most technical minded when it comes to these things!!! LOL

From what we have been told her conditions were pretty rare and her cardiologist has only ever seen 3 cases of a PA Window, and the Interrupted Aortic Arch is 2 in 100,000 (dunno why they dont say 1 in 50,000, lol). You will fit in great here, all of the ladies are lovely x
