First topic message reminder :

What are your thoughts on potty training.

Ar you determined to get your child out of nappies buy a certain age or are you happy to be relaxed about it and let them do it in their own time?

Thats a good point babymilly, and exactly my thinking until Hannah can actually understand what a wee wee or poop is then she has no chance and sitting her on a potty for half the day wont help either of us Laughing
Ahh so cute 1st knickers Lisa, hee bet its weird seeing them without a nappy on for so long. Im used to seeing Hannahs bum all nappied up. Def think unless Hannah goes really determined in the next 3 or so months then im going to leave it till end spring/ beg summer. I am quite laid back about most things so Im not going to jus tget in a competion with the other mummys who have lo's same age as H. Which it seems to be half the time.

xx

I have been putting Wil on the toilet if I catch him pulling a poo face since he was 5 months old but it isn't potty training just reducing the clean up operation. He has also had a potty in his room for ages which he happily sits on fully clothed to read a book. Rolling Eyes

He now knows what wee and poo are and knows when he is doing it but until he decides that having a poo in his nappy is unpleasant I am not pushing the issue. I just ask him if he has done a wee or a poo when I see him pulling the appropriate faces. He has also become very interested in poo and insists on seeing it in the nappy before I flush it away. I can totally understand that Lisa. Ha Hannah loves saying by by to things.Thats my normal way of getting her to let go of something she needs to put away etc, to avoid any tantrums, she seems so much better if I tell her it is going and to say bye bye, so def think this could work for us.
Lol reading that back i sound like a right fruitbat
