As in your name..do you like it shortened or do you hate it shortened?

My name is Zara so get Zee, by my friends..although all my family still call me Zara and my OH always calls me 'babe' to the point that Oliver now calls me babe

I hate Oliver being called Ollie, at first I wasn't too fussed and I used to refer to him as Ollie...although never called him Ollie, always Oliver. My friends little boy Is called Oliver and he's an Ollie, so thats how we call them.

I'm Mandy in my personal life and at work I'm Amanda . I'm not bothered either way tbh

To my family and close friends Im Lise or Lisa, to one of my old friends Im Bruce and to my work Im Annalisa. UNfortunately my grandmother persists in caling me Anna and I detest it, i wont answer to Ann, Anna or Annie, its not who I am. Following a polite request not to use itfor ppl who dont know I then go into blank it out mode

Mandy..I call you Mandy, but always want to call you Mand Its like i've been chatting to you for far to many years I get lazy with names

Lise..your defo a Lise not and Anna

Some people call me mand, my mum does and some of my closer friends do, it honestly doesn't bother me, I've been called all sorts

Could you forward the news onto my grandmother? Its a moot point these days as we dont speak but still...

People like to lengthen my name to Kimberley which does my head in as it's not my name and I hate it! A couple of annoying people call me Kimmy which I also hate (apart from when my dad does it) and I also get Bill sometimes (as in Kim-Billy) still not my name! x

Im nicola to my family and old school friends. From about 16 I decided I prefered Nicki but it has only stuck with people who I wasnt close to before then.
So Stuart and his family call me Nicki, my family call me Nicola or Nic as a pet name, and my friends are 50/50 depending how long they have known me. In work im nicki.

I prefer it shortened, though understand my mum wanting to give me my correct title when she peed at me lol. Usually its 'Nicola Jane!' in a gasp in of breath type way when I shock her

My names Charlotte but only ever get called it when I'm in trouble or if it's somethin serious to my friends and family it's char or charl but my best friend calls me patsy

I'm generally Pen or Penny anything formal I'm Penelope (which I hate). My son calls Frenelope or luv.

My bestest friend calls my dog, grey or sweepy as we're sooty and sweep, she was smart and quiet and I was a bit thick and very noisy. My Christmas and birthday cards are addressed to Dog. She never calls me Pen and often refers to my kids as my pups xx

Um work Charmaine, Joshes family call me Char my family call me Charley.

Noah is just noah and OH is Joshua apart from his mom and dad he gets called Josh.

Lita is my shortened name and I much prefer it to my full name. I hate it when people call me Leat though - pure laziness!!!

Nearly always Lisa ... but some friends use Li (lee) which I dont mind at all


Lita its funny...when I read that I was like what u mean Lita isn't your full name...cos I never called your the whole thing it seems like Lita IS your name

I'm only called my full name by companies, doctors etc or if I'm naughty everywhere else I'm Lita. most people can't even pronounce my full name so it's so much easier lol

I've always been Tammy. My Mum calls me Tamara but most people can't pronounce it (its ta-myra) so it annoys me. One of my sisters calls me Myra. My inlaws insist on calling me Tam which I hate, probably because Mum always refused to let me be called that when I was little as she hated it. Mind you occasionally one of my friends calls me that and it doesn't bother me so it may just be that I hate my inlaws!

I have been Nay for as long as I can remember, the only time i'm Naomi is if i'm in trouble or drs etc. My Mum calls me Gert:scratch: and has done for years.
It's strange I don't mind my name being shortend but my I can't shorten my OH's...I have to call him Richard and everyone else calls him Rick.....god help anybody who would dare to call him Dick...lol

I was always Debbie/Deby at school/college/Uni but when I started working full time I reverted to using Deborah for more formal situations as I think Deby sounds a bit childish

Most people shorten my name to Deb/Debs now which is fine.

I NEVER use Deby now since I got married as I think 'Deby Dunbar' sounds like some sort of porno name and Deborah Dunbar is marginally better .

Paul calls me either Jennifer or Lesley for reasons I still don't fully understand but compared to what I call him I can't complain

My dad has always called me Chloe - again no idea why other than that my Grandad used to call my Aunty (dad's sister) it and he does the same.
