| Quick question: As most of you know we use Terry's with either PUL/fleece wraps or pockets, but just of late Oliver's had some quite smelly wee's , I have washed the nappies as usual, have pre rinsed with napisan, washed at 50 with added antibacterial.. but this smell is still there..It seems to be in the wraps more than the Terry's. Does anyone else have this problem? Any idea's? Not sure weather to risk washing the wraps at a higher temp just in case it fooks them. Any suggestions? |

| Maybe try a strip wash? Use extra detergent, as high temp as poss and then rinse rinse rinse! |

| Thanks Ladies, I did a strip wash yesterday..well a pre rinse-wash-rinse and rinse again and then out on the line. It seems to have done the trick, but not sure if its be being a bit obsessive but I can still smell it slightly on the PUL wraps, am thinking its cos these are the oldest of the wraps. |

| on the subject of liners...is it normal for them to just sort of push the poo to either side??? the ones we use are shiny on one side and rough on the other, but the bf poo just seems to end up on either side of it (although we have nice clean rectangles in the middle haha) |

| I think so - they dont grip the poo too well, eps not bf poo
if you have an old fleece blankets you could chop it up and give it a go - the poo sticks to it much better, less likely to escape out the legs and back, in fact i don't think we have had a poo explosion in cloth when using fleece liners |

lol no worries I have a sore thumb (aka skinless ) from so much cutting! If you have a textile shop near yoo that does remnants or even on the roll fleece its MUCH cheaper - like £3.50 for a metre and you will get loads from that plus you can make them the exact size and shape you want - good idea to make a couple test them and see if you want them wider on the bum etc If you don't want to make your own then ebay has a few - but they only tend to be rectangle or hourglass in bog standard sizes or maybe these http://www.amazon.co.uk/10-Pack-Fleece-Nappy-Liners/dp/B000Q8UAX8 http://www.babykind.co.uk/boostersandliners.htm#fleeceliners these are a good shape, but at 60-75p each NOT exactly cheap |

| I think the diy route is probably a good one - do they get fluff on the bum? Maybe if I rinse wash them first that will reduce fluffage.... You should get yourself a special pair of gloves lady! Some nice floral gardening gloves would do the trick I reckon 60p is a bit much considering we need possibly 30? (vague guess) so will see if the haberdashery near my mama is still open. |

Hi Mari, we went with the DIY route too, worked out so much cheaper. Bought a meter length (100x140cm) for about £4 and managed to get a good 25-30 liners. The fluff doesn't transfer, best to wash them 1st but they work like a charm (and don't budge once in situ, which was our pet-peeve with the disposables) This is one of mine (I did some hour glass one too but got bored of cutting lol |
