I'll test one of my night pockets with my inserts tomorrow night and let you know how many layers I need!
Let me know when you have ordered your nappies so you know how many you want, you might decide 8 layers (what I am sending) is fine, or maybe that 6 layers would be ok
Also when you decide can we do it through ebay (and the listing is full price but i'll discount you to the correct amount at the checkout!!!) so you can give me feedback?! thats if u use ebay! Awww thanks hun How would I know if a 6 layer would be better? Is it a case of seeing how wet an 8 layer is when I change him?
Yeah of course I can do it through ebay! Didn't realise you sold them on there yup! only just started on there last week! well if the 8 layer is quite dry when you change him you could go down to a 6 layer, less bulk on his bum and easier to dry the booster after washing..its always good to have some thicker ones for travel, shopping days etc! |

I do know that hemp and bamboo are the most absorbant. When you say fleece - you mean the organic cotton ones though rather than what I refer to as fleece don't you (like a microfleece jumper) |

| oh I see - I hadnt seen their fleece ones like that!
the nappy shaped bit (the fluffy bit) did you get cotton or the microfibre...I think by Bens picture they are cotton which is same as the bambinex I had (or is that the bit you mean by booster....people use different terms lol!) |

| the nappy bit is cotton, the boosters (fatter insert) is cotton and the liner (top sheet) is fleece
if that makes sense?? |

Therefore Lisa, I would like to buy LOTS of boosters please after I've tested the first one, Fanx lol so you bought 10...then another 10 by accident?! I can't really do that many for the materials only price cos of the time and the postage prices would be £2.60 4 layer - add to existing microfibre £3.60 6 layer - on its own for day £4.60 8 layer - on its own for longer periods - that's what i sent you to trial postage would depend on which you went for, but as a guide I sent 8 boosters (4x6 layer & 4x8 layer) for £5.24 The price of some on ebay is shocking! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GIRLS-LARGE-NIGHT-STAY-DRY-BAMBOO-NAPPY-BOOSTER-LINER-/290471009579?pt=UK_Baby_Baby_Changing_Nappies_LE&hash=item43a16bdd2b they reckon they are super thirsty boosters but its only 2 layers for £2.95 Izzy would piss through that in 5 minutes These are my normal prices
| 4 layers £3.20
| 6 layers £4.50 8 layers £6.00

Bummis Super Whisper Wrap Tots Bots Flexi-Wrap Tots Bots Fleece Wrap Itti Bitti Snap-in-One Cushie Tushies Couture Little Lambs x10 Itti Bitti D'Lish Snap In One Have your Itti Bitti's arrived yet? - you will probably want more of these! They do the Birth to Potty ones now too btw! At such a young age birth to potty is probably a good idea - Blueberry Minkee are very nice http://bibsnbots.info/pocket-nappies-blueberry-c-25_28?zenid=jn4e6645acopnklpp3padlup36 but if you like that type then those ebay ones I linked to from 97kgallery are very similar at a lot less ££ When you venture to night nappies (Its scary lol but its good when you do it!) then things pockets are usually very good as you can stuff them as much as you need - there are some very expensive night nappies but personally I dont have nay specific ones, I use a Bum Genius , Flip, Baby Beehinds Magic Alls and Wonderoo V2 - they are all very good and we rarely get leaks, only when she has slept way longer than 12 hours. Thats from me who is a snap in lover for the day and a pocket lover by night! |

| Is it ok to use fabric conditioner on the inserts? They stink of pee! I know you can't use conditioner on the nappies because of the PUL but the inserts should be ok surely? |

| I don't use fabric conditioner with my terry's, boosters or liners as I was under the impression its that that can cause the boosters etc not to soak up wee properly as it leaves a 'film' over them I have however used it on some of my wraps when they have gone in a normal wash. If your inserts etc are stinking of wee I would recommend doing a strip wash (Lisa recommended it to me as I was having the same prob) Apparently its the build up of wash liquids etc that are holding in the smell of wee. After a normal wash with non bio I rinsed, rinsed and rinsed again - worked a treat for me |

| No you shouldn't use fab con unless it is clay based, and the only one that is clay based is Bold 2in1
If you use fab con you will find they don't absorb so much as the fab con inhibits it (just as Zee says)
You could use it on the outer but never the inner (you have it the wrong way round Lita!)
If they smell of wee you need to strip wash them. Wash as hot as you dare (inners this is) I never go above 60. Put a full amount of detergent in and wash. Then rinse over and over til the water is clear. |

| I really want to get some night nappies but have no idea which ones to get?! I've read the recommendation thread but don't know which ones to go for. I need them to last 12ish hours obviously. Ollie is quite a heavy wetter so they need to be superrrrrr absorbant Do you I'm thinking about getting 7ish so that if I wash them every couple of days I've still got enought to last until the washed ones have dried and so on. Help!!!!!!! |
