bah...tax credits....

so how do i find out what i would be entitled to if i decided not to go back to work?

i need to know:

if i am still on maternity leave but my maternity pay is finished, do i still get the same level of wtc/ctc that i get now?

if i dont go back to work will i still be entitled to any tax credits?

if i work on a casual basis, how many hours can i work before i am or am not entitled to tax credits?

if my husband takes a job (he is a student nurse so classed as full time work) will that stop us from getting tax credits???

they are so difficult to get information from...how can i find out, it's doing my head in not being able to plan at all Sad Sad Sad

you will still get ctc if you dont go back to work but not wtc, you have to work a minimum of 16 hours to get it.

hmmm thanks laura, it says we qualify for ctc but its a bit complicated with hubby being a student nurse (although he is classed as working full time as technically he is employed by the nhs). i think i will have to give them a ring......rargh

Normally I'd suggest entitledto.com but it doesn't work if your a student! I managed to get a basic amount worked out by putting my loans as 'extra money' but I'm not classed as empolyed x
