For our area you go to the council website and there is a form to complete there

Yes you can register on line. I completed my sons secondary school application online and they will inform me in march as to what school he has been accepted into (hopefully our 1st choice)

for some reason it is not coming up for his age its saying:
If your child was born between 01/09/2007 and 31/08/2008 click here
or
If your child was born between 01/09/2006 and 31/08/2007 click here
but he was born in the 10th month of 08 so is it too early to register him or something? thanx again

yes too early. he wont start until next year. hes missed out by just a few weeks x

Im in a simlar position Jayne, in NI the school year is considered 01/07/20XX-30/06/20XX (July & August Bdays are oldest in year)

Caitlins bday is 22nd july so she will start nursery in the sept 6wks after she turns 4 (2013) and primary school 6wks after she turns 5 (2014)! Iv ages left with her at home!

i knew he wouldnt start untill next year but the health visitor said to register him b4 july this year has they work a year in advance or something and thinking about it i know some1 who has registered there child and shes younger than riley so we must be able too but i cant do it online with it saying that so think i will after go to the school i want him to go and see wot they say and get a form if i can do it yet or im sure they'll let me know when too thanx 4 the help anyway xx

Is he registered for pre-school? Maybe that's what the HV is on about
