PMSL yes Niccsy the 'I need more nappies' thing never goes away!

I have loads, and at the moment for example last week wash day was Tuesday and Saturday - the machine is full on a wash day - so why do I need more?! Hmmmmm well they are too darn cute!

How much are they? What do you need to buy to 'complete' a nappy? How do you wash them? and any other info you think might be useful Laughing

They range between under a tenner for 'job doers' to £30 for 'pretties' There are also lots of types, some work out cheaper than others to use.

Washing is easy - you can just use your normal stuff (you just use a bit less and no softener) or you can use soapnuts (which are a natural form of soap - they are great for babies with sensitive skin!)

A shop I love does trial packs - they are good to look at, even if you dont want to buy, cos they put them in sections like quick to dry (if you dont want to tumble)
http://www.cheeksandcherries.co.uk/acatalog/Nappy_Trial_Bundles.html
that shop has a pretty good info page too http://www.cheeksandcherries.co.uk/acatalog/nappy_info_new_to_reusables.html

Also someone I know writs articles and helpful things http://www.ethicalshoppingforbabies.co.uk/2010/01/cloth-nappies-getting-started/

Let us know if after you have mooched round that if you want any more help xx

Have had a quick look at the first 2 links, which ones would you recommend? The pocket ones are jumping out at me the most.

Yeh pockets are very popular with first timers!

You know if you want to have a go with cloth you might want to look at these http://baby.shop.ebay.co.uk/Baby-Changing-Nappies-/45455/i.html?_catref=1&_dmd=1&_fln=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_ssn=97kgallery&_trksid=p3911.c0.m282

That is an AMAZING price, especially if you buy the big bundles - I know lots of people who have them, including me and Mario, I think Niccsy was getting one too? They ar really good nappies to start with!

Thanks Very Happy What would I have to buy then? Wraps and the thingy that goes in the pocket (can't find the thingy that goes in the pocket yet lol!!)

those ones (and most pockets) have an insert that comes in it, and you dont need a wrap as they are already wee proof!

Im ordering some bamboo boosters when i can but til then daytime i use 2 fleece squares and a microfibre and at night im trying 2 prefolds a large and a medium

no i think theyre just the completely pants ones that no one wants Laughing kushies but theyre quite old and preloved, i bought them when i was just testing to see which ones i like, 5 for like £8, theyre quite stiff and dont fit well at all and quite ugly looking Rolling Eyes although if your willing to give them a go you can have them Wink x

For nights I use pockets - Bum Genius V3, Wonderoo V2 & Baby Beehinds Magic Alls - they are all really good and I stuff them quite alot cos she wees for Wales, Sweden and England lol!

I also use a flip - which to be honest works well, I just don't like the design!

Im using tots bots fluffles or a bambinex with couple extra inserts in em

Not sure if its related but when is disps she wakes at 6 for bottle but dont change nappy as i give her bottle and she falls straight asleep again after drinking but last 2 days cos using cloth ive had to change her and shes refused to go back to sleep. Might try changing at 11 befoe i go to bed tonight so can leave her til 8 tommorrow, if she goes back to sleep i know its the nappy change getting her up and going and will have to either go back to disps or carry on 11pm changes.

Whaddya you guys think

Ohh, I like this, a nice little cloth nappy section. Thumbs Up

Well I got my other ebay cheepies yesterday and I luurve them. Still using with the terry's cos the inserts are shite Rolling Eyes

I must admit I haven't risked using the pockets on a night yet, am still using the T/sq's and a fleece/PUL wrap and it works like a charm.

I'm also using fleece liners and fleece wipes with the home made wash solution..get me!! Laughing
